What This Blow-Off Valve Does
When the throttle blade closes under boost, compressed air can back up against the turbocharger compressor. The 540200 releases that trapped charge pressure quickly, helping reduce compressor surge and creating a cleaner transition between throttle events.

Fitment & Installation
The 540200 is a universal 50mm blow off valve for custom and aftermarket turbo systems. Weld the included flange to your charge pipe and clamp the valve on with the included V-band. 50mm Blow Off Valve FAQ
What does a 50mm blow off valve do?
When you lift off the throttle under boost, the pressurized air in the charge pipe has nowhere to go. The blow off valve opens and releases it so it doesn't surge back through the turbo's compressor.
Which spring should I use, 6 psi or 15 psi?
Both springs come in the box, so you can change how firmly the valve stays closed. Not sure which fits your boost level? Call or email us with your setup.
Is this a vent-to-atmosphere BOV?
Yes. It releases air to the atmosphere. On MAF-based engine management, check with your tuner before installing.
540200 vs. 540201 vs. Viper 540198: which 50mm BOV?
The 540200 is the best-value 50mm BOV for most turbo street builds. The 540201 Ultra High Flow keeps the 50mm size with more relief flow, and the Viper 540198 adds adjustable spring preload.
Does a blow off valve add horsepower?
No. A BOV protects the turbo and keeps throttle transitions clean; it doesn't make power by itself.
Do I need a wastegate too?
